Sub-Surface Fibre Optic Communications Locating

Fibre communication cables can be challenging to locate. Using GPR and CAT technology, we can accurately trace and identify them without disrupting underground services.

Non Destructive Vacuum Excavation (NDV)

Where the client has a high risk to local council, commercial and community sub-surface assets, NDV is the industry’s preferred benchmark method for best safe work practices, protecting personnel and damage-free digging and trenching, allowing safe exposure to fragile underground utilities.

CDL can arrange local Hydro-vacuum teams to target and locate sub-surface unities, both private and domestic sites.

Sub Surface Asset Utility Mapping

CPL is often asked whether we offer utility mapping. While we do not provide full utility mapping services directly, we are happy to work closely with our clients chosen registered surveyors to support high-quality outcomes.

Our role is to locate and mark underground services accurately. We then collaborate with your survey team to ensure all utility data is captured correctly and can be integrated into quality CAD mapping deliverables.

This approach ensures you receive an independent and reliable survey while benefiting from our specialist expertise in utility locating.

End-of-Job Reporting

From 31st March, all CPL jobs include a formal end-of-job report.

This report provides a clear record of located services and site markings at the time of inspection, giving both CPL and the client documented confirmation of works completed.
