Underground Cable & Utility Locating Services
Cable and Pipe Locators provides underground utility asset locating services for both private and commercial locations. At CPL we utilise specialist electromagnetic equipment, with specialist training and knowledge identifying the following applications:
Underground Power Cables
CPL are able to locate live or inactive power cable utilities covering both domestic and commercial.
Pipe Locating Services
Providing we have access to ‘open-end’ pipes, CPL utilise trace rod – sonde transmitter to and locate underground services & utilities, including PVC pipes, sewer assets, storm-water drains, irrigation piping systems.
Sub-Surface Fibre Optic Communications Locating
Providing there is a ‘trace wire’ installed with the fibre, we can trace and locate without disrupting the services under ground.
Non Destructive Vacuum Excavation (NDV)
Where the client has a high risk to local council, commercial and community sub-surface assets, NDV is the industry’s preferred benchmark method for best safe work practices, protecting personnel and damage-free digging and trenching, allowing safe exposure to fragile underground utilities.
CDL can arrange and manage vacuum truck systems to target and locate sub-surface unities, both private and domestic sites.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
We will have available Ground Penetrating Radar from the fourth quarter of 2024.
Sub Surface Asset Utility Mapping
Using GPR we are able to provide Sub Surface Asset Utility Mapping in conjunction with a registered survey company or we can work alongside a selected survey company of the client’s choice.
